Chongqing Steel Greenfield BF No.1 supplied by CISDI on EPC basis was blown in on November 26, 2010 and the first heat was successfully tapped on 27^th. The operation commencement of BF No.1 laid a solid foundation for reaching 4.50Mt/a output by the end of 2010 in Chongqing Steel’s Greenfield plant. The BF has been running steadily since its start of operation. 

The Ironmaking project of Chongqing Steel Greenfield plant consists of two 2,500m³BFs and same-ladle hot metal transportation system. The BF and its necessary auxiliaries are supplied by CISDI on EPC basis. 

The BF is implemented with CISDI proprietary technology of hot metal transportation by overhead crane without reladling and other leading technologies such as PCI, dry bag filter, TRT, closed soft water circulation system, top-combustion hot stoves, contributing to good energy conservation and emission reduction. The BF is leading among its kind in China.

The director of Chongqing Steel Ironmaking Plant is quite satisfactory with the blast furnace, saying that the slag/iron separation and slag granulation for this first tapping reaches the most leading level and it is the most successful blow-in in Chongqing Steel history.
