September 4^th, 2012 witnessed the completion and startup ceremony of oil tube mill in Baoji Petroleum Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. The mill is for the first time in China implemented with “HFW + hot stretch reducing + heat treatment + pipe finishing” route. SEW tubing & casing is rolled with hot rolled sheets, and use high-frequency welding technology, hot stretch reducing technology and heat treatment for full pipe body technology to produce high-property products. It features good inner quality, high geometric accuracy and good collapse resistance. The produced pipes have better strength, toughness and perforating property than other seamless tubes of the same grade. The products have advantages of both high-frequency welded-tubes and seamless tubes, which can significantly reduce the oil well drilling cost.
